What Information Do We Collect About You?

This website, hj-photography.co.uk, collects private user data using the following contact information page: https://hj-photography.co.uk/contact/.

We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, sign up to a mailing list, provide feedback, reviews and participate in competitions. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

The data collected from emails / phone messages / conversations / customer surveys is stored on my password protected home office by the owner.

By contacting the owner of HJ Photography you agree to Hiral Jethwa contacting you about HJ Photography’s services. You will not be added to any mailing lists unless you sign up via the website and will only be contacted by Hiral Jethwa the owner personally in relation to your enquiry.

If you sign up to join our mailing list your data will be stored on an external database owned by the marketing company Mailchimp. The data stored will only be managed by HJ Photography and not shared with anyone else.

Users contacting this us through this website do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely until a time it is no longer required or has no use.

How Will We Use The Information About You?

We collect information about you to process your order and stay in touch with you from booking a photo shoot to delivery of the purchased products and follow up after service to confirm you were happy with the service.
HJ Photography will not share your personal details with any third parties for marketing purposes.

Client Galleries

HJ Photography creates a client gallery for each client to whom photos are delivered as part of the services contracted. HJ Photography’s client galleries are externally hosted by Pixieset. Their privacy policy can be found here: https://pixieset.com/privacy/
To visit a HJ Photography client gallery you will be required to enter personal data (namely your email address) and a password. Your personal data (email address) will be stored within Pixieset’s system, on their servers.

Only Hiral Jethwa will have access to your personal data (email address) stored on Pixieset’s system on behalf of HJ Photography. It will only be used as detailed above, will not be used for any other marketing purposes and will not be passed onto any third parties. Pixieset’s technical support team will have the means to access to your personal data (email address) but will never access or share this data other than by request from Hiral Jethwa.

If you wish to request for your personal data (email address) to be deleted from Pixieset’s servers, please email hello@hj-photography.co.uk.

Access To Your Information And Correction

Client Data Held On File
We take care over the processes around looking after personal data stored on our physical systems. HJ Photography holds the following personal data of clients:
1. names (allowing me to call you by your first names)
2. addresses (allowing me to post any purchases to your chosen place of delivery)
3. phone numbers (allowing me to call you)
4. emails (allowing me to contact you to discuss your enquiry and plan your shoot)
within soft copy and sometimes hard copy contracts as well.
Soft copy contracts are safely stored on my password protected home office MacBook.
Client photos are safely stored within my password protected home office MacBook and backed up to two encrypted external hard drives.

Withdrawal Of Consent

Anyone photographed by HJ Photography Photography, whether a client or wedding guest, and whether past or current may withdraw consent for a photograph in which they appear to be displayed. The process for this is to email HJ Photography at hello@hj-photography.co.uk specifying the photo in question. HJ Photography will then remove the photo from online and printed display wheresoever it appears.

Use Of Images

We may use any of the photographs captured to promote HJ Photography on the HJ Photography website and blog, on social media, on photography related websites, in exhibitions, in advertising, brochures, magazine articles and other such material, providing that the images used are used lawfully and without damage to HJ Photography’s client(s). The rights of the people captured in these photographs are protected by HJ Photography as detailed in this privacy policy.
